Every June 16th, we observe the International Day of the African Child<\/strong>\u2014a day to recognize the struggles, dreams, and limitless potential of Africa\u2019s youth. At Tez ChildFund Africa<\/strong>, this day is not just a remembrance\u2014it\u2019s a celebration and a call to action.<\/p>

Why This Day Matters<\/h3>
This powerful date honors the brave students of the 1976 Soweto Uprising in South Africa, who stood up against an unjust education system. Their courage sparked a movement\u2014and today, June 16th symbolizes the ongoing fight for quality education, protection, and opportunity for every African child.<\/p>
Our Celebration: Empowerment Through the Arts<\/h3>
This year, we brought the celebration to life with a vibrant community event in Kampala. Children from underserved neighborhoods took center stage to:<\/p>
