Hamuza Tezikubwa

Founder & Executive Director

Hamuza Tezikubwa founded Tez ChildFund Africa in 2018 with a deeply personal understanding of vulnerability and resilience. After losing his mother as a baby, he grew up moving between different homes, living with his grandmother in the village, his aunt in Entebbe, and later with his siblings. In each home, he experienced love, care, and support that shaped his outlook on life.

Those experiences planted a lifelong desire to extend that same love and protection to vulnerable children who lack stability and safety.

At the age of 25, with the encouragement and support of his friend Sara from the United States, Hamuza launched Tez ChildFund Africa to support children on a larger scale. Under his leadership, the organization successfully operated a shelter and community outreach program serving vulnerable children in Uganda.

Beyond his humanitarian work, Hamuza is an emerging singer and songwriter in Uganda’s arts and entertainment industry. He uses creativity, storytelling, and music as tools to inspire hope and mobilize support for children in need.

As Executive Director, he leads the organization’s vision, partnerships, strategy, and fundraising efforts.
