Rebuilding a Safe Place for Children in Crisis
Every child deserves a safe place to sleep, feel protected, and begin again.
In 2018, Tez ChildFund Africa opened a temporary shelter in Kiwatule, Kampala, where 21 vulnerable children received meals, education support, counseling, and a safe environment.
The shelter had to close after a few months because of limited funding. Today, we are working to rebuild this vital initiative and create a more sustainable safe haven for children in crisis.
Our Goal

Our goal is to reopen a residential shelter capable of supporting up to 25 children at a time, providing temporary care while working toward family reunification, school reintegration, or other safe long-term solutions.
