In 2018, Tez ChildFund Africa opened a temporary residential shelter in Kiwatule, providing 21 rescued children with safety, nutritious meals, educational preparation, counseling, and structured daily care. Although the shelter closed after three months due to limited funding, it demonstrated that children in crisis can recover and thrive when they are given stability and support.
